The title says it all, Google have made yet another update the the Pagerank. It’s the fifth update they have made this year so far, which means that a lot of pages has got theres pagerank change.
And of course there is a great focus on it from many webmasters, they want to see if theres has gone up or done. But not many ppl knows have many time the Google pagerank has been updated since it started in 2000, so if you want to see the history on it you might wanna check out this page “Pagerank update history“
And almost all my sites got there pagerank updated, W3blog stayed at pagerank 5 so no update for this blog but okay a Pagerank 5 i still good imo.
My pagerank checker went from PR 2 to PR4
My BMI calculator went from PR0 to PR4
My link directory went fromPR 2 to PR3 (In fact all my link directories is now PR 3
My webhost guide went from PR1 to PR3
But enough about my sites, let me here what you got.!
And what you do to increase your pagerank, all the good advice will be turned into a top 10 step to a better pages rank with at permanent link to your blog.!

The november PR update was surprising me much because it happened not long after google panda update.
At first., I thought it was apart of Panda update, and I was like, “oh not again.”
However, I was quiet happy with the update.

Well, they’re interlinked: PageRank and Panda. Panda, like PR, is run manually. Before a PR update there’s been a Panda update every time this year, it’s the new 1-2 punch.

On my mainpages there was no update – although it seems like my subpages got a boost in PR. Got pages on blog with PR3 now. The main blog stays PR3 for years.
It is still all a great mystery to me.

Hi;
If you want to develop and keep your PR, one key thing is to check and monitor your backlinks.
List your backlinks, check their PR, then do a close monitoring of the backlinks that do pass you some juice.
Should one source disappear, you know and can restore it or replace with a similar one.

All I did was comment on blogs, write articles and guest posts, used adwords to promote it and of course Twitter, Facebook and so on.
Google updates the pagerank about 5 time each year, but they only made 2 in 2010.

They tend to do that at times, in October they change something on what it takes to get a high ranking on the search results which change the ranking my danish currency rates site had.
It had about 3000 hits a day and was number 1 on the main keyword, after the update it’s number 4 and “only” have about 1300 hits a day.
But in the end there is nothing we can do, they can pretty much do as they will….

I’m loving Google for these frequent PR updates. I just hope it keeps up and updates the PR like this. Last year there were only two PR updates and that really scked.

I have a couple of webmasters that got hammered, one of their sites went from PR2 to a PR0 and so on.
But in general it was a good pagerank update, it might have something to do with the one they made in August where a lot of sites got their ranking decreased.
It was a strange PR update. Google.com, Facebook.com and CNN.com all went down from PR10 to PR9. I had an article published on Ezine Articles for less than 2 weeks and that page got PR4. I won’t be surprised if they update again soon because they wouldn’t let their own site on PR9 for so long wouldn’t they?

I think what we have learned, since the Panda update, is time will tell. I was worried when Google started making all these changes, however, I think as long as we all focus on quality content and continually promoting our sites, we will be ok.

This is the first time that I came across your blog and that too through Ana Hoffman’s Commentluv list, you have a nice blog down here. Any ways talking about this PR update, it came as a surprise since almost all of us webmasters thought that Google had scraped away or killed the Pageranking stuff, but none the less it is a welcome update. My main blog got to PR4 from PR3 but my other websites PR remained the same. Congrats on your PR update.

My site keeps the same PR eventhough I’ve tried my best to make it higher. So sad!
I’ve just checked pagerank for all pages on my blog, and these are the results:
The frontpage on my blog went from PR 3 to PR 2.
40 subpages are now PR 2, compared to 22 before the update.
54 subpages are now PR 1, compared to 73 before.
57 subpages are now PR 0, compared to 47 before.
So all in all, an increase in average pagerank across my site, which is nice.

I have had a number of sites go from PR1 to PR3, one went from a 1 to a PR2, and a brand new site of mine, which is only about 2 months old is showing a Page rank of 1 now. I have only been doing slow backlinking using feed updates, social bookmarking and blog commenting. I guess it must be working.

I didn’t see any change on my sites except one new-ish site went from a PR0 to PR1, which was nice. That same site was one that benefited from the Panda update, too… I imagine the two are related.

Stable @ PR5, some from PR0 to PR3/4 and fortunately no drops. Though I know I shouldn’t put much emphasis on PR it is still nice to see more green then grey in the toolbar

To increase pagerank I comment on blogs, submit articles to article directories such as Ezinearticles and add content to web 2.0 sites such as Hubpages and Squidoo. Still on a pagerank 2, but hope to change that at the next update.

Congratulations on your PR boosts.
One of my static sites went from PR0 to PR3 for the homepage – but not much activity on the inner pages. It’s a 3 month old site with a 301 redirect from a site that got trashed by Panda (around about August/September).
Another of my blogs – about 6 months old, but only been worked on for the last 3 months or so – went from PR0 to PR2 for the main page and a lot of subpages and individual posts got PR3.
It’s quite nice to see your PR go up, but to be honest, I would be happy with a lower PR and a higher position in the SERPs any day of the week.

Hey Jimmy, great to see some boosts in PR, on 4 different sites, that’s good going.
My site went from PR5 down to 3, but it just goes to show that PR isn’t everything since I’ve gone up in SERPs slightly, which is what I prefer. – inner pages didn’t really change much at all though. I’m still pretty happy with a PR3 domain after a few months though.
Although having higher PR is always nice if you come to sell the site I guess.

I believe that the Pagerank isn’t always updated, but the seo value from your backlinks will always update your ranking when Google finds them.
The Pagerank is normally updated 5 times each year, the last one was i November on the 7th.
It doesn’t effect anything as such, it “just” shows the value of the websites that links to you. But if you have a high Pagerank, that can increase your traffic and comments if it’s a blog.
I also believes that a high Pagerank, tend to make a website more trustworthy to many users. In return they are more proned to click on ads or buy something if it’s a webshop.

Its getting difficult day day day to rank higher and get good PR ranking,the game is getting tougher day by day,as they say content is king but there is a tussle going on between the Google bots and man’s intelligence.
See that’s the thing about pagerank though… It’s not something you can ever stop working towards. You can only maintain a continuous plan of action; if you let it slide, you will see your pagerank do the same.
